About this treatment
What are check-ups & exams?
Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Check-ups & Exams at our practice
A regular check-up is the simplest way to keep small problems small. At Anstey Family Dental Centre on Bradgate Road, your dentist examines your teeth, gums and soft tissues, checks for early signs of decay or gum disease, and takes X-rays if they’re needed. Catching things early usually means simpler, more comfortable treatment later on. A routine examination falls under NHS Band 1 (£27.90).
Most adults are seen every six to twelve months, and your dentist will suggest an interval that suits your dental health. Children and families across Anstey, Cropston, Thurcaston and the wider Charnwood area are all welcome.
We’re currently accepting new NHS and private patients, so it’s a good time to get booked in. Register as a new patient or call 0116 236 2534 to arrange your first check-up. If you’re in pain and can’t wait, see our emergency dental care options instead.
