Questions and answers

Is Anstey Family Dental Centre accepting new NHS patients?

Yes - we are currently welcoming new NHS and private patients. Call us on 0116 236 2534 or get in touch via our contact form to register and arrange your first appointment.

Where exactly is the practice?

We are at 9 Bradgate Rd, Anstey LE7 7AB. The practice is easy to reach from Anstey and nearby villages using local bus routes.

Do you offer NHS dental treatment?

Yes. We are an NHS and private practice. NHS treatment is available at Band 1 (£27.90), Band 2 (£76.60), and Band 3 (£332.10) charges (England, 2026 rates). A check-up and any X-rays taken at the same visit fall under Band 1.

What happens at a first NHS appointment?

Your dentist will carry out a full examination, note your dental and medical history, and discuss any treatment you may need. They will explain any findings in plain language and agree a treatment plan with you before any work begins.

I am nervous about visiting the dentist - can you help?

We see many patients who feel anxious about dental visits, and our team will always work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Please mention that you are nervous when you get in touch - we can allow extra time and explain each step clearly.

How do I book an appointment?

You can call us on 0116 236 2534 during opening hours, or request an appointment using our contact form. We offer appointments Monday to Friday.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Please bring a list of any medicines you currently take and, if you have one, your NHS number. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to complete a short new-patient form.

Do you offer teeth whitening or Invisalign?

Yes - we offer a range of private treatments including teeth whitening and Invisalign clear aligners. Call us on 0116 236 2534 or request an appointment to arrange a consultation and find out which option may suit you.
